Hussain Sajwani – Advancing the Middle East through DAMAC

DAMAC Properties is a real estate development entity which is headquartered in Dubai. Hussain Sajwani is the owner of DAMAC. He is a well-known Arab and is listed as one of the most affluent Arabs in the Forbes List 2017.

 

 

Hussain Sajwani’s father had a shop outlet that sells watches, shirts, Parker pens, and other imported products from China. He was granted a scholarship by the government, and along with a few others from his country, he went to the United States to study. He earned his Economics and industrial Engineering Degrees from Washington University.

 

 

At the beginning of his professional career, Hussain Sajwani had a job in the Finance Department of Abu Dhabi Gas Industries. Two years after being employed with Abu Dhabi Gas Industries he initiated a catering business which provided service to Bechtel and the United States Military. The catering business he started years ago is still presently in operation and is called Global Logistics Services.

 

 

Shortly after DAMAC Properties has been founded in 2002, it was able to build nineteen thousand apartments and over forty-four thousand more which are in different phases of being erected and completed. Because of its phenomenal growth, both in assets and holdings, DAMAC properties have been listed on the Dubai Stock Exchange.

 

 

With its steady growth, DAMAC Properties was able to acquire and close contracts that have to do with the property development of prominent figures and organizations around the world, which includes the golf course that was designed by Tiger Wood and is managed by the Trump Organization; another is the luxury villas conceptualized by Bugatti; next are the lavish villas created by Fendi and Versace – the prominent fashion houses from Italy; and the Paramount Resorts and Hotels of Paramount Pictures.

 

 

Hussain Sajwani makes it a point to donate to charity and together with his company DAMAC Properties he continues to support the “Tarahamu” through the United Arab Emirates Red Crescent; in the same token, he donated 1 million AED via #UAECompassion for the refugees in Jordan and Lebanon that were battered by the “Huda”.

 

 

As of this date, Hussain Sajwani – DAMAC Owner lives in Dubai with his wife and four children.
